Pledge to Protest the Aryan Nations & KKK Parade

Dear Friends,

Coalition Against Nazis (CAN), a group of anti-Nazi activists from Canada, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California, is organizing a counter-demonstration of the Aryan Nations/KKK march in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on July 10. This display of Nazism is despicable, especially following the brutal murders of Matthew Shepard in Wyoming and James Byrd Jr. in Jasper, Texas. Now is the time to take a strong stand against the violence and bigotry the white supremacists promote.

What you can do help:
--Sign the pledge below and send it to Coeur d'Alene Mayor Steve Judy.
--Join CAN at the counter-demonstration.
--Ask your union or community organization to endorse the demonstration.
--Donate funds to CAN.

Pledge to Protest the Aryan Nations & KKK Saturday, July 10, 1999, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

When the Aryan Nations and Ku Klux Klan march in Coeur d'Alene, I pledge to join hundreds of other protesters in countering their hate mongering and violence. If I am unable to attend, I pledge to support those who do.

I urge you to join the advocates of equality and anti-fascism by leading this counter-protest and protecting the constitutional rights to free speech of myself and others who believe in a multi-racial society cleansed of all forms of bigotry.
